Regional Rankings on CptBoost: Why Trends Differ by Country
A template dominating one region can be invisible in another. Here is how CptBoost's Regional Rankings page helps you plan for the audience you actually have.
· Updated
Trends > Regional Rankings applies the same leaderboard format as Global Trends, duration, engagement, hashtags, creator, original sound, but scoped to a specific region rather than aggregated worldwide. The layout is familiar; the value is in what it excludes as much as what it includes.
Why global data can mislead#
A template racking up huge global numbers can be driven almost entirely by one or two large markets. If your audience sits elsewhere, that "trending" template may barely register with the people who actually see your content. Regional data corrects for this by showing what is actually resonating where your audience is.
Language and culture shape virality#
Text overlays, humor, and even editing pace read differently across regions. A format built around a specific sound or premise can perform exceptionally in one country and land flat in another for reasons that have nothing to do with execution quality. See regional template strategy for building content that accounts for this deliberately.
Refreshed hourly, same as global#
Regional Rankings updates on the same hourly cadence as the global leaderboard, so the data stays current rather than reflecting a weekly or monthly snapshot that misses fast-moving shifts.
Pair it with the global view#
Checking both views together tells you two different things: global shows what is breaking through broadly, useful for spotting a format before it saturates everywhere; regional shows what is actually working for the specific audience you are trying to reach. See reading the Global Trends leaderboard for the worldwide side of this comparison.
A practical habit#
If you create primarily for one market, make Regional Rankings your default check and treat Global Trends as a secondary signal for what might be arriving next.
